BaySplash is an annual Bayview Hunters Point community engagement event that brings the neighborhood together with local educators, leaders, and organizations that inspire and empower the BVHP community. It is hosted by the EcoCenter at Herons Head Park and is one of our favorite community events of the year. This year’s BaySplash took place on September 22, and we had a great time!
LEJ staff and Eco-Apprentices led 33 BaySplash attendees into the water at Herons Head Park. We equipped kayaks, paddles, lifejackets, and training. Special thanks to Kayaks Unlimited for providing on the water safety support and teaching us how to kayak!
We are grateful to everyone who participated and for our partnership with Kayaks Unlimited and the Eco Center at Herons Head Park.
