Literacy Environmental Justice partnered with Bay Area Wilderness Training and BMAGIC to hold a BBQ Info Session at Sunrise Point earlier in July.
People from the community gathered to eat, meet neighbors, and learn more about how to camp and check out gear for free at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area (CPSRA). Participants enjoyed a mapping activity, restoration demonstration, and a gear give-away as a part of the BBQ.
The gathering was the first of a three part series leading up to the Front Country Leadership Training on September 14 and the BMAGIC Healing Retreat in October.
