On Saturday, August 17, LEJ hosted its first annual Volunteer Recognition event. It was a lovely day in the CSPRA Community Garden that celebrated: Alex Roberts (Volunteer of the Year), Triage Consulting (Outstanding Volunteer Group), Ellen O’Dea (Outstanding Board Service), Laura Hernandez (Outstanding Eco-Apprentice), Alan Szeto (Outstanding Eco-Apprentice), and Melani Ramirez (Outstanding Eco-Apprentice).
Each honoree was given a certificate of recognition and a special treat to help thank them for their dedication to our local environment. We closed things out with a group picnic in the courtyard. This event would not have been possible without the gracious support of event sponsor Kaiser Permanente.
